Privacy in the private trial

CartHeist currently provides a private, links-only shopping shortlist. Public social publishing and deal email/SMS notifications are off. Authentication emails remain available to invited testers.

Current access records

We use invited email addresses, verification records and session cookies to provide and protect private access. Login codes are stored as hashes and expire after 10 minutes; sessions expire after seven days. Cloudflare hosts the site and database and may process IP addresses and request information for delivery and security. Brevo delivers requested login-code emails.

Records from earlier testing

Earlier trial records include ratings, feedback notes, saved preferences, participation points, link-click events and alert preferences. Those features are unavailable in the current links-only mode. Earlier browser preferences may remain on your device. The site owner can review retained records; private notes are not automatically sent to an AI assistant. Operational discovery records are kept for 30 days and earlier interaction/alert records for up to 90 days. Feedback and account records are retained while needed for operating and reviewing the trial.

Affiliate links and Amazon

Amazon receives information when you intentionally follow an Amazon link, under its own privacy notice. Links include our affiliate tracking ID. CartHeist does not collect your Amazon password, payment details or Amazon order history. The owner may enter aggregate affiliate results from their own reports. We do not sell tester contact information.

Choices and requests

Signing in does not subscribe you to promotional messages. To request correction or deletion of your information, contact cartheist99@gmail.com. Requests are handled manually and may be subject to records needed for security or legal obligations. Clearing your browser storage removes local preferences but does not delete server records. The trial is intended for adults. This notice will be updated before material changes to the service.
